REGULATIONS
Upland Bird Season The Quail, Pheasant and Chukar season runs from
September 1st to April 30th.
Virginia Residents To hunt on the preserve you will need a Virginia
state hunting permit or license.
Out Of State Residents An out of state resident can purchase a
temporary Virginia hunting license at a cost of $60.00. However, a Shooting
Preserve License may be purchased for only $12.00, which restricts the hunter to
hunting only on the specified preserve.
Firearms Safety at Southbound Here at South Bound Shooting Preserve, we
stress the importance of gun safety. We emphasize the importance of
respecting firearms and understanding them. Being hunting enthusiasts
ourselves, we understand how dangerous even the slightest mistake or misuse of a
firearm can be. Here at South Bound, we are dedicated to the satisfaction
and safety of our guests and hold the right to refuse service to anyone who
jeopardizes the safety of others on the preserve. We also offer firearm
safety training to anyone who wants to learn more about firearm safety.
Hunters orange is required while hunting on the preserve.
